cookie confessions
while in madrid, i found myself searching for a secret door where nuns give you cookies. the experience had me yelling at a wall in spanish ordering the cookies, assuming nuns were on the other side, giving money to a trap door wondering if I just made a donation or a transaction, and finally receiving a box of cookies after patiently waiting. in short, the cookies were… unacceptable. that launched my obsession to R&D my ideal oatmeal cookie for 4 months. specifically… miso oatmeal cookies. why? i wanted to change people’s mind about the non-so-favorite oatmeal cookie.

in college, i dreamt about having my own bakery. however, I just wanted to dream not actually work hard for it. with a newly baked cookie recipe, i collaborated with a local event venue to have a one day cookie shop.

as an homage to the birth of the cookie experience, my one day cookie shop will sit in what looks like a confessional booth. people tell me their dreams or aspirations in exchange for the most delicious and blessed miso oatmeal cookie.

currently, the cookie confessional is being designed and constructed.
